hey, was wondering what other mmos are you guys currently playing.. or are planning to play soon.. i play Ether Saga Online... but only at work when i get time..  its not bad. its more of a 'cutesy' game.. so its a time-pass.. i think im lvl 11 lol was waiting on Blade & Soul... but the news on the new Final Fantasy has got my attention  |

FFXI, and retired from Ragnarok Online  Fuck I haven't played FFXI in forever. ): I want to play RO again, but I don't want it as much as to pay for it. Not as fun as it used to be. Maybe one of my guildies will pay for me  |

ahh... good times .. ffxi and ro you know RO was/is the first game that actually made me come back after saying "im done with this game"... i friggin' looooooove the music.. its so beautiful.. i even used the Peaceful Rainforest song in my wedding video hehe but with ffxi.. as much as i loved it.. i hated the wait-for-hours-for-party-to-grind feature .. thats why when i read about the next ff that the devs are focusin the game for 3 types of players. 'i wanna grind with party'.. 'i wanna solo'.. and even those that are like 'i only got 30 min left before i go work..' but u know.. being such a big fan of RO, i wanted to go RO2 badly.. so i tried the private server (obviously not the same experience as real server) but it just didn't feel like RO :/... hopefully Lime Odyssey (which is said to be the true RO sequel, or so the fans say so) is gonna be worth it |

I've been considering getting Guild Wars. The only thing that turns me off is that it seems a lot like Runescape.

on FFXI i play bahamut server, its overpopulated so parties are certainly no problem

Well I just found out there's a trial so I'm setting that up right now. My character looks so lame, I shouldn't have chosen archer...

lol topic revival. Well, first i LOATH mmo like wow. As for ro, the story is very long for me, i started it on the alpha september 2001, where you don't have any skill and where the mage skin was actualy the gm skin. After that i played on a crap load of server (Iro,Cro,Jro,Tro) and someday on euro (lol at nubs) i whould say jro and Tro have the best community. During this same period the first ro private server was out, it was during beta 1.5 with huge lag at 10 ppl cap, first private server was crap. After that i moved to private server, since Aegis source va released, private server was good (actualy the first excellent P.server was a french one called Neburo). My last server was actualy the best, but i was hated on it, all the people on server wanted my ban because they think i was cheating, i was the guy with cleary the highest knowledge on this game and best gamplay by far on the server i was playing on (there's was a lot of player on it). At every's woe there's was huge drama cuz of my overpowered chars (i could kill up an entire guild with my 1337 high wizard lolol,(Firewall,Sg1,Sg10,Amp power,Jt3,stone curse,Firebolt 10 was my killing skill in woe  ) and since i was the only one able to solo the Ifrit boss everyone think i was cheating, the admin hated me too, but he never baned me because of the accurate information i could give to them (skill glitch information, npc abuse ect). Finaly the server closed.. cuz people can be real ass, that was kinda sad since this server was awesome.... i played around 7 to 8 years on ro. Now they changed to much, i don't enjoy ro at i was (3.0 defense patch was a crap) and now if you'r not lv 99 with 1337 gear.. you can't enjoye the game. A yes, Private server run at 99,9% on eathena where some skill is glitchy, in fact you can't do the famous firegust technic on it (awesome pvm tech/insanely hard to do on pvp).. |

wow thats quite a story.. i lol'ed at the "kil up an entire guild" ahah.. then i went  ;; when i read 7 to 8 years on RO.. i mean.. yea the game was fun, addicting, made friends, enjoyed the beautiful soothing music (i still listen to it.. omg i wanna listen to it right now... i used to play RO.. but things starts to throw me down as it grows... 1 my 1st ro was MRO (malaysia server) .. it was free and all until there is one part that the company suddenly become gay that they going to do the p2p system.. and it cost RM29 a month (to summaries how expensive it was.. our normal food at restaurant is about RM2 - 4 that time) so that is 1 down
2nd down was the rebirth system... i mean WTF i train fully hands-on hardcore on my character to lv99 and now u want me to start all over again and even higher exp requirement per lv than my previous lvling...
3rd down is the bots.. but no choice at the end because every1 is using it... and i got a life.. i not gonna 24/7 on computer human-botting on one piece of crap game....
4th maybe is the WoE but i don't really like PVP games that much but some games are ok like gunz or gunbound
So that a bit some story of my RO life which only lasted 2 years, other games that have potential but failed are gunz... gunbound... Rose... Age of Conan.... hmm what else...i think that's it... but the goods ones are... FFXI, EVE, WoW, Guild Wars... LOTRO .. runescape ... i guess each got their own unique feeling
FFXI - exp system (enforcement on party lvling)
EVE - very space concept (but i don't really like space games except Starcraft)
WoW - raiding system and the story of it own and the profession skills
Guild Wars - basically war system/knowledge
LOTRO - similar to WoW but a bit different in a ideal way
Runescape - no story line but free-for-all adventure (unique skills independent lvling)

I played RO the longest too Lol.
I LOVE the juperos theme. its catchy. its called "I got Lee you don't somthing" like that.
Training a lvl 99 Magnus Exorcism High Priestess is no joke. took me about 1 yr for gears and lvling lol.

haha, leveling a ME high priest to 99 is kinda great imo, i did one for some mvp card drop (OMFG mvp card farm was a pain, in a 0,02% drop server i got 3* golden thief bug 1* baphomet 1* king of windstrom, 1* amon ra)... My luck was purely insane here... yea but i was a lot online (not 24/24><) Safety wall / assumptio / go go solo baphomet |
