Here's a good beginner gunner set. Gems may be a little awkward to get.

you need things like kirin horn for the gem which may be awkward to get

the only thing that is stopping me from making this (Currently using Rathalos Gunner set, w/o the body pieice >_<).. yea so one stopping me to make this set is how weird it ill look >_>

for me.. its not about the stats as much as it is about the 'how you look when u finish ur quest' XD

well for gunner skill i think (If is possible) im going to get

evade+2,bullet limit and reckless abandon+3.
or evade inc,technic and reckless abandon+3

but this set is good.

well im going to make specific set for some hbg

like teostra arsenal (clust shell machine) i will go for (if those skill exist in frontier)
recoil reduction+2, survival,load up, and if i can evade distance up.

I figured out how to get everything except for the Coffee Pants, what are needed for those?

And also the orange pelts for the Battle Vest?



Also, with the Basarios Guards, are you referring to the normal type, or perhaps the S or U branches?

basarios normal guards level 7.

Coffee pants :
블루 저지 (blue pants) level 7 -> 커피 저지 (coffee pants)
Coffee is probably a dodgy translation. They're bright yellow. Can't miss 'em.

Orange pelt is bullfango hide.

Alright, thanks bunches. I now have, at the very least, the base armors of the set, so I just need to farm forever to upgrade them all =p

You don't put gems in until the final level, right?

Yup.
But the Bas guards need high rank Bas mats. I think Vesp/Hornet U also need high rank bug parts. Which is HR31+.

Yeah, I was about to ask about that but I didn't want to double-post.

I've gotten to the point where the Hornet Armor requires a Hornetaur 8% drop from only High-rank quests, unfortunately this is the point where it needs that to become Hornet U armor, so I suppose I'll be missing out on those armor skills

not quite there with the Vespoid One because I need a pink spider material that I believe is Rainbow Insect? But I have no idea where to get them becaue I think their location has changed from previous MH games

And I've gotten my Bas armor up to the point where I need an Elder Dragon Bone and 4 of a High-Rank only drop

I haven't upgraded enough for the Battle Vest or Coffee pants to see if they reach a similar point though =p

Yeah I'm at that part too. Hornetaur Head, HR31. Wanna come with me? Pink spider you get from Deep Forest/Sea of Trees. The bas armor is basarios carapace, HR31 again.

Thing being, I'm just barely HR22 :\

Sea of Trees is the place with the 40 Vespoid/40 Hornetaur farming quest, isn't it? The dark green jungle? I read that Rainbow Insects were in Area 2 of that map, but I couldn't find any Bugnet Spots in that part, I suppose they still on that map, just in the other areas where there are bugnet spots?

Aah, it's not hornetaur head, it's inner wing.
Umm I can't remember, I don't have the bug yet. I'm also in desperate need of money, 1.5k left. uguuu~
But to completely make the set you must be HR31 ^^
