Hello, i just started a quest, Pinkian HR31 in Desert. Then i searched some ppl. One friend joined, so 2/4. good Then a player named "dark_angel" joined with hammer. "Good" i thought. Then he wrote:"pls keep spot for my friend"...then after some minutes his friend named "JSeigal" joined... dark_angel with samsingi armor and the "fist"-hammer jseigal with gaurga f(!!) and same hammer like dark angel so i thought, this will fast and nice run, 3 hammers & 1 lance, n1 but that was a big fail ! o_0 i just eat my meat, the batard jseigal come to me and kick me with his upswing..."i thought wtf? ok chill, maybe unintentionally" but he kicked me and the lance one whole the time with the upswings and superpounds, i said stop with that but he doesnt do that...well then his friend dark_angel do the same o_0?! i just, WTF?! well we tried to keep fighting... well then rathian changed area, i take my whetstone and want to sharp...no, that bastard come with his upswing and kick me...hmmmmmmm??? tried to make a good screenshot... img709.imageshack.us/img709/1833/30427715.pngwell see, no rathian but keep upswing me ... well later these bastards died, so me and zephir just abandon o_0 sorry but WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? is this fun or something?! o_0?! one time is ok, but whole the time?! god damn it! -.- sry for bad english! they both are known for griefing once in a while. don't bother with them, i guess it's hipster amongst them or some shizz. they even got grief vids on youtube "for fun"...

In case you didn't already see it Seigal has his own youtube channel where he makes videos of just that...upswinging ppl and interupting them at all times even after they are already pissed at him.
It's the saddest thing I've seen.

I'm just speechless by the fact that no one has understood the vids. No one.
First, except when I'm joking around, quite a lot of those upswings are actually unintentional. I can't predict at all times when someone is going to jump into my hitbox. I should look for an armor set or a weapon with a "DANGER: I'M PLAYING" sign or something. If they are later recorded it's because sometimes it looks like they actually go towards me when I'm attacking, then complain about it. And that's simply something that makes me laugh.
Secondly, after those unintentional hits, Arilla quickly started insulting me and dark (even if he didn't do anything at that moment) and even attacking us, too. In other words, he wasn't acting very differently from us.
Thirdly, if you're so annoyed, you can either try to stay in the quest for materials or just for fun, or just say "re, don't you have other weapons?" or something along those lines, and dark and I will get dragon weapons in order to HL. (In case of another Pink ian, I mean)
I was going to more or less apologize to Arilla and do that before, but given the rude answer I chose not to, honestly. Instead, he came here complaining and convincing other players against me.
I expected more laughs and smiles from this board and the newest MH players. I thought that Grahf and the other MH1 vets were wrong about the newer players, but...they weren't exaggerating a single bit.

Actually in practically all of your videos, people tell you to stop, and you persist.
There is nothing needed to be understood from your videos past that you annoy the other players when they are just trying to get something done. If they advertise for a shits and giggles free weapon fight, that's all good. After a game has ended you can launch them all you'd like, but doing it during a quest, even after they have expressed some discontent with your actions, THAT is truly the sad part.
They shouldn't have to 'stay in quest for materials or just for fun' if they are annoyed by you sending them flying everywhere on purpose. There's no way you could have the gameplay footage you have of so many 'accidental' friendly hits if it wasn't intentional. Especially when you make the video without their apparent knowledge. Why shouldn't anyone be upset at being sent flying in the air?
Who says grahf and whoever are the end all be all of MH judgement of who the 'new' players are. They have their own issues, and need not assume that MH1 was the most awesumest MH group evur. I played on Japanese servers for MH1 before the game even came out stateside, so for you to assume they were the 'vets' and that we are the 'new players' is somewhat horseshit on your part.
They don't even play on MHFO anymore. The only people left are the ones who take the time to get to know the community, korean, Japanese, Thai, w/e. So you can just take your views of 'vets' being the ones to have the most sensible word of what a community has become and hide away in your own cave upswinging people while they are just trying to play the game. As pathetic a pasttime as that really is. No one can have fun with you getting in the way of what others are trying to complete.
It just sounds like you are holding your nose too high to notice that your own actions are annoying and disruptive above all else. You should probably be a little less selfish when you think about playing an online game that's meant for teamwork. If you can understand that much.

I don't have a problem with people knocking me around after a quest; I tend to hit them with the butt of my Bowgun and shoot them with lv1 normal. Of course, I let them finish carving first. I also don't mind if they send me flying a few times in a quest; it happens, just deal with it. However, constantly sending people flying on purpose during a quest is simply unacceptable.

@ltr: Those videos were meant for a vid I'll explain at the end of this post. But most of the people featured in those vids are people who have been annoying in previous quests (hitting, getting killed or just doing stupid moves) and some of them were in fact recording without saying anything, too. Arilla was neither of those, however, so that's why I wanted to apologize yesterday.
Although the MH1 community doesn't seem very active, it's still alive, Fox. Either waiting for Tri or with other MHs, but it hasn't disappeared. I'll admit it was a mistake saying that all MHFO players are "new gens" since AFAIK you, Richard (and I guess Yuki) and more people have been playing since MH1/MHF.
@the rest: If you watch other vids, you'll see that when I'm serious, I use a lance and, what's more important, I don't get hit/killed very often.
About the other vid: At some point in the future, I was thinking about making a vid featuring near frame-perfect dodges. That's what all those recordings were really meant for. In fact, in thealex's vid, you can see some bits at the beginning, although they're not pretty impressive nor that near frame-perfect. Opinions about the idea.

Justifying like 40 friendly fire push backs with two dodges in a video clearly meant solely for harassing (as title and description show) trying to say you are preparing a lance dodge movie makes you look even more pathetic than what you were before. You most likely don't get it yet, but you aren't funny at all. Not even as a troll. Mostly because you keep doing that shit until it stopped being funny 9 minutes ago in a 10 minutes video. Truth is, you act like an annoying middleschooler. That's my opinion about the idea. |
