anyone have any good tips for soloing los? or rathian either or would really help  getting tired of waiting for people and I'm feeling kind of bad because I'm getting help from higher HR people in 200+ =\ |

same way as you solo on any other monster hunter game
take your best weapon and beat the shit out of it.
except it will probably take you the entire quest duration

If you are less than hr50, I don't recommend solo for anything but the chicken family (gobble gobble sleep turkey excluded).
Hammer or Adren LBG are the only two at ~hr51 worth using on Los solo, even then...Carbalite Impact hammer would still take a while.

I remember I soloed HR22 los on HR31 with Espinas LBG and Adren+2 / HGE set
Took me 10 minutes ^^ Hammer would take a lot longer imo.

If you wanna melée him, I used the Growling Wyvern's MHFO equivalent (it's A giant dragonator spear thing >.>) and either Evade+2 armour (Kushala, Blue Kutku, Kirin) or High Grade Earplug (Rathalos, Red Khezu) armour to stop the screams. It's not all that quick, but it's really easy I you're good enough with lances.
