Pimp my Gear; S / U gear

Ok i wasn't aware of this.. and still not 100% sure (shed some light, anyone XD)

Apparently once you upgrade you armro from lvl 1 to 2 3 4 etc.. you eventually have option to upgrade it to "S" gear or "U" gear.. each have different look and different status.

here's an example

so as u can see.. the stats are different or more boost in stats..

that being said, i dont think everyone armor has U and S gear..maybe it only has U and not S or vice versa

Is it actually possible to use upgraded armor instead of the usual crap everyone else has? What I mean is...how does upgraded Veloci(etc) Armor compare to non upgraded high tier armor?

You can check on inven to see how high it goes in its U/S form, in most cases it'll be on par if not subpar to the higher tier armors.

I was quite disappointed. All it had were a few badly printed red decals and some pouches. D:

depending on the armor..
your upgrades lead you to 'more def' .. 'more slots' ... more stats/different stats

the Velociprey armor set "란포스 검사" becomes "란포스 S 검사".. doesn't mention "U" set

I see I see. Only asking because I've been upgrading my Genprey set which is a huge pain in the butt.

Recently upgraded Kutku to ...I think #5. I would go for U/S but they both require G-class materials I think. Blue Kutku for U and Purple Ore and something I can't figure out for S. (U/S might be mixed up :x)

I checked your links and both branches are different. The S set is slightly different. Some gold coloring on waist straps along with a feather on the cap.... Maybe there are 2 branch and three branch ones? Kutku has 3...orignal, blue and s

yes thats true, Kutku goes into 2 branches

쿡 검사
which branches off into;
쿡 S 검사 and 쿡 U 검사

쿡 S 검사 however upgrades further into 쿡 L 검사

I just checked Inven for Kutku Body Armor piece and;

For the "S" Gear, you need to be HR31 (Upper quest to get purple ore)
However for the "U" Gear, you can craft before HR31

Finally upgraded a piece of my genprey enough for U/S option to appear!
Looks pretty cool. U set turns metal gold. Trying to figure out which branch I should upgrade to....

I'm thinking of going S because I like the colors and it's got a nice balance of def/res but...I lose my 2 slots. Skills: Para Res., Pellet Shot Up., and Special Atk Up. Pretty nice skills.

(I upgraded leg piece first for the slot...next is arm, also for slot)

EDIT: Just upgraded legs to S. And son of a biscuit eating bulldog, I need a freakin' green ore. G-class no doubt?

If I'm not mistaken...Your Gems automatically get taken off even if you sell your armor...

The green ore is most likely Dragonite. Tower mining.

When you remove gems, they go onto your person. If they don't go there for whatever reason, they are in your box. If you auto sort, they go near the last. Easy to find. If you still can't find them, then you really did destroy your gems.

My gems are gone haha....

That's lame. Let this be an important lesson to all players! Remove gems before upgrading your armor to a type with less slots!
