Hi, i am kinda new to this game and just recently playing. I have some noob questions though. Does this games have lvling or status system? Do you have translation for ingame control like keyboard key or such? Would be helpful if it mention shortcut keys too. and i didn't see any class/jobs in this games, does this games depend on armour/weapon for different playstyle? Can we change our weapon for different playstyle later on?
Thanks

1. yes, the game has a lvling system, finishing quests gives you HRP which in turn increases your HR. The higher your HR is the more quests you can undertake and there are more unique monsters you can hunt. 2. forums.minegarde.com/index.php?showtopic=3052go here to see how to change your controls to how you see fit. 3. there are no specific classes in this, the game depends on armor and weapons yes. for each monster you fight you can pretty much make a weapon and armor out of them. 4. you can change your weapon type at any time, just go to your house or the blacksmith use the box and hit option 3-1-1 and select your armor/weapon to put on Hope i helped ;D

First off, I think you should DEFINATELY play Monster Hunter on the PSP or PS2 and get the hang of the very basics, MH is an extremely complex game, even in English.
There are no classes and races, you just equip weapons and armour to boost yourself and get passive abilities such as Health Up, Attack Up. No levelling up (in the terms of most MMORPGs, rank has no real indication as to player skill here), no status points, no skills, just pure skill.

i think Sikendetsu already answered everything u asked... but as for the controller setting; refer to mhfkr wikia.. its better and u dont have to sign up mhfkr.wikia.com/wiki/Controller_Configurationas to wat Yukiko said, i completely agree; i was new to this game too, i was loooooooost like zomgwtfbbq!11eleven.. but after playing only 2 weeks on PSP, i pretty much got the hang of the basics of this game.. (tho PC version is slightly different then PSP version, like farm system and other features) if you dont have a PSP or PS1/2 to test out the other series.. i'd say you start off by reading all the guides we have to offer here and ask as many questions as u want to clarify over @ noobie section.. there are tons of players here helping each other.. being said that, welcome to a new addiction .. that is Monster Hunter

the only 'stuck on island' i know of is when i + go to My Room/House + click on Bed + choose option to Sleep + gives option to test/train any weapon
if thats what it is.. u can just abandon quest if thats not how u got there... explain how u got there?
How to loot items; kill monster once dead, stand on top of it a "E" icon on top left screen will pop up, press it and u will carve 1 item (sometimes 2x depends on monster)

ah i think i know what ur talking about..
i beleive i skipped that tutorial.. you gotta gather 2x Meat i beleive, drops from those gray dinosaurs. once you gather, you probably haev to go to Red Box and delivery it (press E and select both 2x) unless the tutorial just needs u to carve it
yellow bar is ur stamina. you need it to run, guard or do some special attack (depends on weapon).. you need to cook it if u didn't get from supply box (blue box)..
How To Cook + change your item (bottom right) to a BBQ thingy looking item Stick with meat.. + make sure you have a raw meat in ur inventory (kill mosnter, carve it) + now your Cooker item is ready to be use (otherwise big X on it) + press "Z"? to use ur item and ur guy will start cooking.. + As soon as music stops, the color of meat will turn 'orange after 1-2(?) sec + Immediatelly press E(?) and u will get Perfect Cooked Meat..
+ If you pres E early.. it will be Cooked Meat only, if you press E late, it will be burnt
(sorry for the "?" marks.. i dont cook meat.. i just use my Farm Cat to cook in bundles automatically lol)
