Okay...first off, you must be a gunner of some sort to be able to do this. This works for MHF2 as well, in fact that was where I used it.
If you're going to do this glitch here, be warned you'll probably need a group of gunners using the same tactic to kill him, as he is very strong.
This is also a good way to solo the super-hard JUMP Teostra in MHP2G...heh.
Anyway, you will need to go to Area 7 of the volcano. Make sure you kill the Apceros', as they will get extremely annoying and often knock you away, causing the Teostra to turn and trample you.
Stand behind the large rock. Now is a perfect opportunity to bomb yourself down to Heroics/Adrenaline. You're not gonna get hit anyway, so you may as well. Power seed/pill/demondrug will all add up, too.
You will notice in between the dark grey and grey area of the slab you are standing on the ground is cracked and you can see tiny specks of lava. You want to stand at the end of that.
When he flies in, immediately run right up to the rock and throw a Flash bomb/Use a flute to grab his attention and let him know you're here, and run about a bit (you must stay behind the rock!)
He will roar once he's seen you, and charge right at you. If you've done it right, he will not have moved since he landed, and will be running directly into the rock at no angle, and will be unable to get around it.
And here is the best part:
You can shoot through the rock! You don't have to even aim above it to clip his wings, your bullet will pass directly through the rock as if it wasn't even there.
If you are standing in the spot I mentioned earlier, this is about the right distance away for good range shooting damage, and also his flamethrower will be way out of your range. Same with the powder explosion - it will land a few feet in front of you, but it won't hit you (unless you are too close - if you are worried, stay further back and edge closer once you see where the powder explosion lands)
Like I said, in MHFO he will be very hard to solo unless you have a great weapon, so it would be best to go with a group of other people who will use this tactic. When he flies away, simply wait for him to return and repeat the process again. Good luck...I hope this helps you gunners fight one of the most annoying monsters to range!
