Of course it comes from the guy who timed out on a Rathian. ...What? As effective as the hunter can fire a gun. You can't expect a fatalis death with 4 gunners and 0 on adrenaline.... We just did my HR51 Urgent Fatalis with a Tail String +(Sikendetsu), a regular Lobster Gun(me), A Fatalis HBG(some random), and a TDS(Ninja). I only died twice 45 minutes in because his tail snagged me and sent me careening into his foot. You died twice? That's pretty bad. And 45 minutes on an urgent fatalis is HORRIBLE. Good thing the urgent has about half the HP. I'm guessing the Fatalis HBG user was doing most of the damage with some clusts. As for getting snagged, I really hope you were using an HBG, I don't know what lobster gun is since getting hit by the tail should be very avoidable. I can see an HBG user having trouble avoiding it. ahhh good times, but yeah adrenaline isnt required to kill shit, it just helps kill shit faster, i say use whatever you can have fun with. id be too damn paranoid of getting hit while using adrenaline to perform well Umm, Yes it is required to kill a lot of things. You're just not that far yet. I don't like seeing the 5 minute warning thing with full parties at all. The point of parties is to kill things faster, not have warnings often. As for being too paranoid, well that's your problem. A lot of things are 1 hit kills later on. Oh well, if you have fun that way, have fun I guess.

So sorry I don't live up to your expectations, mother. I play to have fun. Fun isn't killing things in 7 minutes with 4 Adrenaline junkies clad in dragon armor and cutting edge weaponry. The arrogance coming from your post is so thick, I could cut it with a knife. Oh and to answer your assumptions, the Fatalis HBGer fired about 3 clusters in total before resorting to the same ammo types we were using, pierces, normal 3's, etc. Sik and I were using LBG's, Ninja was using a longsword. We killed it, we won, we reaped the spoils of battle. Get over the fact that not everyone isn't a "Kushala Klone" with identical dragon weapons. People have different tastes.

hahaha I couldn't expect more... dude 45 minutes on a fata is ridiculous.... YES there is 50 minute on the clock but damn! 45 minutes? Also, urgent or non urgent fatalis have the same HP =P There is almost no danger standing in front of fatalis, in fact its the most safe spot if you are an experienced hunter. As far as weapon/armor choice goes, it all depends on the type of hunter you are, but there will be a time where you need to bring out the skills you think aren't necessary. An easy example is HR100 Kirin(if you ever get there)... there is almost not a single person I know that likes to melee that thing because, 1 overpowered unicorn 2 Ridiculous HP/resistances. I like adrenaline mainly because it is more exciting than full HP.... you get more of a rush! I am always on adrenaline with any weapon, including gunlance and few deaths =P witeks and whoever else was planning on doing mono The best thing to do is DS it and abuse the legs, when it trips roll to the horn and bust it off. Once its off, keep tripping it and hit the tail, the weakest spot.

The same old excuse, but like I said, its your type of hunting and everyone has different opinions on it. thats the gem you need the following 5 Lv2 herbivore fangs (apceros is your best option) 5 Lv1 fanged monster pelt (babakonga or the little bull thingies.... the small ones lol fangos)

I fail to see how that's an excuse. Yes we were "undergeared", yes we took 9/10ths of the time given, yes we died twice. Yes, we still killed it. Oh and I probably forgot to mention it was our first Fatalis. Enjoyment is never an excuse.

idk what you guys are on about adrenaline is fuckin awesome
when you get into higher quests and the monster's in rage mode you're probably gonna die in one hit anyway so make the most of it and boost up your damage
PS gunners shouldnt get hit, the only really tricky guys are Teostra and Kushala, ok scratch teostra because you can ledge him in the town and shoot him behind the rock in the volcano, everything else is fairly simple and you should be confident in being able to do it without being hit, minus the odd slip-up.
not counting beru and the other crazy shits I haven't fought, can't give my opinion on those.
ADRENALINE OR NOTHINGGGG

I'm not your mother and your tone isn't something you should be expressing to your mother, let alone someone trying to help you. For the HBGer, yeah it seems he did most of the damage. Good thing. For arrogance, I'm sorry you feel I express arrogance. I don't care for kushala clones and using identical dragon weapons. I've only seen one other person use the same hammer I use, so I don't know what you're talking about. I've also not used kushala in a long while and I've hated the armor for as long as I can remember. Just remember that the only one showing any ounce of arrogance is you. You come in and say "Just use Rathian U" and then "We don't need any kushala clone and dragon weapons to win." That is arrogant... The poster asked specifically for the combo that smasher described eloquently. Not everyone wants to be spending the full 50 minutes to kill one thing, this is why people like to kill things as fast as possible to finish said quests. hahaha I couldn't expect more... dude 45 minutes on a fata is ridiculous.... YES there is 50 minute on the clock but damn! 45 minutes? Also, urgent or non urgent fatalis have the same HP =P To the fatalis remark, I don't believe the front of him is safest as a gunner, the general front of him yes, but belly flops happen often from black fatalis, and he can slither, which for some reason is programmed to be instant death. The other two, definitely safer than usual, especially during double summon. And both can't have the same HP. Everytime I help someone do their urgent, it takes 15 minutes at most... while the rotated one takes sometime longer. About the monoblos. Yes, but most i've seen were large enough to start moving back up by the time I got around their fat legs, being in rage mode didn't help... Ah well, I don't have trouble anymore, I just wish my water duals were maxed out to speed up the quest by a few minutes. I still need to get 15 horns.... - - idk what you guys are on about adrenaline is fuckin awesome when you get into higher quests and the monster's in rage mode you're probably gonna die in one hit anyway so make the most of it and boost up your damage PS gunners shouldnt get hit, the only really tricky guys are Teostra and Kushala, ok scratch teostra because you can ledge him in the town and shoot him behind the rock in the volcano, everything else is fairly simple and you should be confident in being able to do it without being hit, minus the odd slip-up. not counting beru and the other crazy shits I haven't fought, can't give my opinion on those. ADRENALINE OR NOTHINGGGG Agreed, but I'm not a gunner type. I prefer melee, but I understand some people want guns for certain quests, and I try my best and wish to have a fully decked out gunning armor. Koreans are also very picky with armor skills... For beru, there isn't difficulty in gunning him unless you have the one with laser beams. Other than that, you just need to avoid his long attacks. LBG or bow is a preferred choice, you need mobility.

hey can you still ledge fatalis like you could in MHF2?
i know in MHFU he has a new attack or something that caused me to die, but on MHF2 it was hella easy to ping bullets at him from the ledge outside the camp.

I don't believe you can, he still bites towards people on the ledge and the hitbox is weird.

Hmm. On MHF2, as long as you were at the very back of the ledge, he couldn't bite you. If you were still too far forwards however, you'd get chomped.
Adrenaline is great on Melee. Some Korean player with adrenaline +2, can't remember the weapon but it was a Lance, killed Teostra with us in 5 minutes.

You tell me I'm horrible for taking 45 minutes and dying twice yet when I call you out on your giant ego you tell ME I'm arrogant? You've got some fucking nerve, buddy. And I didn't barge in and say "USE RATHIAN U OR YOU'RE A RETARD" like your claims with Adrenaline, I interjected my two cents as to what I use for Gunner. Also, you weren't there with us. Even with some sort of psychic abilities you wouldn't know what happened, I'm all you have to go off of. Ninja, while not able to attack with his sword while Fatalis was airborne, was constantly running back to base and gathering ballistas and cannonballs to make up for his weapon's shortcomings. He tripped Fatalis several times, and shot him down even more.
