About:
The Akura Vashimu is a scorpion-like carapaceon that is thus far exclusive to Monster Hunter Frontier. The Akura Vashimu has blue-purple crystals growing on its claws, back, and tail tip. It has a huge geode mineral on its tail tip that shoots out a high-pressure venom at its enemies, causing them to be semi-frozen (like the Snowman effect) and lose all stamina (like the Chameleos gas effect). The Akura rests and hides underground, protruding its large mineral tail tip on the surface. If it is aware of nearby enemies, its tail breaks out of the sand and swings around violently, hurting anything nearby. It is possible to temporarily break the tail crystal, but the geode will slowly grow back during the battle as a small geode. Its attack pattern and breakable parts may depend on its colour (grey ,red, green, blue) but if it's red, then it will signify that Akura Vashimu is near death. (From monster hunter wikia)

I will write a few things here and there about Akura Vashimu for you guys

for the most part, wikia is incorrect because their info is wild guesses for the most part(I read all their monster info on frontier and it was a big lawl)

First off I spotted the chart... its a bit iffy
The fluids: 4 colors right? right! 1 white 2 yellow 3 blue 4 red
Fluids are not carves, they are reward items, all of them are 100% depending on the following.

-Akura dead with nothing broken(no fun
ky colors on claws) = 100% white fluid in reward (1)

-Akura dead with 1 claw broken (dead with yellow pigment on claw) = 100% yellow fluid in reward (1piece as well)

-Akura dead with 1 claw + face or other claw (dead with blue pigment on claws) = 100% blue fluid in reward

-Akura dead with both claws+face+tail cut off (red pigment on the claws) = 100% red fluid in rewards (1 piece as well)
some items can only be obtained if you cut the tail and carved from tail.

In order to chop the tail off, all crystals+claws+face must be broken and it only cuts off when its on its back

Red does not necessarily mean its gonna die, its defense boosts soo much that it can take 10-20 minutes to kill.

ah.. so the color fluids are only 'quest reward'..

darn, i wanted to make a red armor set..

also, what weapon do you suggest is best? anything with highest raw dmg?

i was using Fatalis HBG and it seemed pretty easy (until my party wiped XD)

i also heard, tail runs are best when you have 3x DS and 1x HH
also heard, hammer is best used for flippin' over akura for tail

both akuras are immune to all elements/status, so the best thing to bring is raw and a good HH to break the claws(impact)

there is 2 startegies,
3 DS with 250+ raw + 1 hh with purple+red+blue notes

or 2 DS with 250+ raw as well + 1 hammer for breaking crystal and 1 HH(same notes as above) for buffing the DSs when cutting claws and tail when its time comes

so this is how it should go down

-walk in buff and all then wake it up
-HHr breaks crystals while DSs work on legs (just to shave some HP off)
-once all crystals are borken down, have the DSs cut the claws first
cut 1 and it ill flip (while its on its back, attack the legs or tail) legs take MASSIVE damage when its flipped.
-flip it again by breaking the second claw and hit the tail.
-break the face and go straight for the tail
-Make sure yo keep your DSs buffed and healed with life crystals

The reason why you break the crystals first and then break the face or claws is because it is much easier for the HH to do its job, as you break parts, its defense boosts and moves around more violently, so you don't wanna do that.

All that a hammer will do is provide impact or KO... the DSs are the key for breaking stuff up.
3 DS 1 HH will kill anything/everything lol

oh and that video you posted there is from a guild mate lol idk wtf was he thinking by using gizami DS

here is mine, 3 LS 1 HH... quest had limitations lol it is just so you get the idea of it in 7 minutes hehehe

That's pretty badass. I've wanted to fight one ever since I saw its picture. Somebody's definitely gonna have to post when it comes out of pay-only for a bit. Weapons look badass, armor looks a bit silly with that hat... It looks like it shares some of both of the crab's move sets... Ugh, daimyo jumps and shogun sweeps.

... But I'm gonna need HR51 first. >_>

I dont like this tipes of monsters, long battle and easy... i like monsters like rajang, beru, crabs, tigrex, kirin... they re a little strongs (exept crabs lol) but short battles... but this monster has big HP, regeneration and resist to all elements and hammers when crystals are broken... i dont like the weapons too lol

the clock has 45 minutes, short battles are boring! and actually Akuras don't have much HP... I'd say less than 51 black blos if you kill it without breaking any parts up

a friend and I duo'd akuras on adren and cut the tails with gunlances only hehehe 2 of us >=D
