I'm a nub against a Beru.... And, i'm just being a pain for the Beru hunt... I can't do anything, Beru kicking my ass, there's nothing i can do except Lifepowder-ing  Is there any good Beru vid i should watch to improve my flawless-ness? I hate being a leecher... |

idk... I went to kill my first beru without knowing anything and succeeded. Isn't that difficult  With yama set (elemental resists are decent afaik) and max hp (use 5 ligh blue potions from shop if no HH) I never get 1 hit kill. Also just in case bring 10 potions, potions G and green herbs. |

Beru Speed cap's are all i know of. [if u want it to be fast o.o] keep shooting the claw like thing at his back until it breaks. when its broken. cap it. but u must have gou lbg's and a good shock trapper got it from this guy www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytcaV_ri84c |

I might not do a lot of damage against a beru, but I've learned to survive moar then I used to.
Try sticking to near/under his face, or his sides, depending on your weapons you got and how you play. It's easy enough to avoid those tailspins when he's on the ground, so you shouldn't have much trouble there.
One of the attacks that still annoy me is the sudden thunder-dash thing when I'm nearby on the sides, it still hits me, even though it looks like it shouldn't. Other then the front claw grab he tries to do to reach far, just run near him and roll at the last second.
Other then that, try going solo and making up your own "omg I gotta survive!!!1" tactics.
...but that's my cheap way of doing things, so don't think I'm cool or anything, cause I'm lame like that.

Just don't get too used to it. It'll make a difference when you don't have it if you're trying to time the dodging wrong due to the skill. Try and learn the moves without it, and you should do alright from then on, or at the very least better then before. (unless you're going with Starving Wolf...)Yeah, serious damage or deaths may happen, but that's how you get better; You learn from your mistakes and work better on them. Maybe dodge later/sooner, moving a different direction, or even taking risks and start beating on him can change how the quest goes. Will it make it easier to fight him? Maybe, but that's all on how you go about it. ------ Like my rulebook goes:
1. - The monster dies before time is up.
2. - 3 deaths don't happen.
3. - You still have a decent amount of items left over. (Some exceptions...)
...Then it's a win. |

Auto guard, Guard 2, and Evade 1 make you near invincible vs beru.

I used to be able to do it with a HBG and HR11 rathian armour. Until I got locked out. Well FYI,those who use ranged weapons against Beru are supposed to be leechers or trouble-makers. Without adrenalin,ranged weapons do shitty damages to Beru,I remember some leecher used HBG and stood in the entrance of the area to shot(that is 1km faraway from Beru). With adrenalin,they will be fucked by Beru very quick. So that why we hate ranged weapons join Beru quests. |
