I was just curious if I can get some help from here to do Shen Gao Ren Urgent. Randoms haven't been that helpful and the 31+ people are busy doing other things ==;
Need at least 2 other people, preferably 1 ranged user at least. I'm not sure if its possible to kill it with just 2 until we get better gears.
Noting how Shen Gao Ren behaves slightly differently than in 2ndG, is it still possible to make him flee? The smaller time limit makes me think otherwise.

If you get a gunner on Gaoren, don't take them if they are not using adrenaline, there's no excuse not to, it's not like they're going to get hit unless they majorly suck.

Then I have a question, is there enough cannonballs to damage such a player to adrenaline status? It seems each time I go after Shen Gao Ren (be around 4th attempt) it rains, know any other way w/o them getting squished to death? Or should I also count on them to bring the bitter stuff? I'm not sure how much room gunners have. |

8 small barrell bombs indoors usually does it.
Remember if there is more than 1 gunner for both of them to share the Sm Barrell Bomb blasts ^^

I thought you can't do it indoors since its a camp site. Do they allow that in Frontier?

Small Barrel Bombs can be used in the base camp of the fort  Not large barrel bombs though |

in 2nG me and my 3 other friends, we 'kill' shen gao ren but in MHF for my urgent, well is kinda actually didn't kill him but make him flee... but he flee when the time is up, so i was o.O i thought u suppose to lost the quest when the time is up?

If he's taken enough damage and the fort is still in place when timeup, that's when he flees.

Don't remind me *flashback to getting hit by Gao Ren's big green blast attack in area 1 because i thought it was just for show in that area* I'd help you out with it if i hadn't had the above experience, now nobody wants me to do gao ren. |

Well, its a shame you're scarred from that little experience, but we've all had bad experiences, you don't need to get all depressed from making a mistake like that.
I'd still appreciate the help, it is better than just 2 people as always. There's very much no chance to succeed with 2 people until after they produce stronger weapons. <_>
It's been about 2 days and still no help for this.
Hopefully sometime in the next 12 hours if possible.
EDIT:
Well, it doesn't matter at this point. Finally got it killed with 11 minutes to spare. I think if I had artisan, I could solo it now. This can be closed/deleted now. Thanks for the tidbits Yukiiko.

you can do this with manny (its a friend of MHF). Hes also needing people to do that quest. Hes HR 31, so well thats all =D

Since it would be clutter and be silly to make another separate topic about the same thing, might as well post here too...
Anyone available to help a friend and I with urgent? We did it for mine in one shot perfectly, but when doing my friend's it's not even close to being repelled. (7min w/ 10% left) Yet with mine it was like 30% and time ran out. We're doing the same steps (or very close to) like for mine, but it's going all wrong for friend's urgent. Already did like 5 times now and no luck.
Anyone willing to help out? I'll be online quite often on 5-7 since it's quiet there almost all the time. (...that and I feel really weird being with a lot of other Korean players...)

(saw you online on another server a while before I first posted, but you were away I guess)
At time of post, it's 8:19 AM here. So I'll be online almost all day, but friend gets online within a few hours (like 11:00 AM or so)
