I saw that, more specifically, raid red tyrant, and HOLY SHIT A FUCKING BEAR It looks really cool, but I hesitated to try it as I wasn't sure if it was really a novelty thing that would get old after a while. Plus being in the UK and all its all hurrrr american only faget
What do you think of it? Is it fun to play on your own? Is it the kind of thing you want to go back to every night or just "eh I got free time I'll play it". Like I tried FFXIV, was like holy shit this is awesome, and shortly after it lost its appeal and I went back to fagnarok and MHFO, I only really play it if other people are on.

Well I don't play on my own, I have an american friend and one in the UK that I play with. I really like the combat, and the bosses are hard as balls until you learn their pattern. Even then, they kill you in one hit lol. It's like MH but... better. There, I said it. Yes I like this more than MH and I will most likely keep playing after beta. The biggest boon over Mh is that you can trade crafting supplies. Great if you have some good friends, terrible if you have to use the marketplace. People are already playing it, buying up wares cheap and reselling at insane prices.

The picture is huge, so I won't attach it on the forum. Open it with this link imgur.com/UrQbO.pngLook at the image and follow the instructions in this post. First of all, download and install the program called widecap widecap.ru/en/download/1. Click Chains Editor 2. Click New Proxy 3. Enter a US proxy IP:Port. You can use any free proxy you find with google. 4. Click Create new... 5. Enter a chain name, click OK. 6. Click OK. 7. Click on New rule 8. It will go to the Chain tab automagically. Click on the drop down box and select the chain you just made. (not shown: if you click on the "Main" tab, you can rename the rule. If you don't it will default to "New Rule #1", "New Rule #2" etc. 9. Click OK. 10. Click on View programs 11. Click Proxify all programs 12. Select Whole system 13-14. Use the drop-down box to select your rule. You don't have to click on the browse button. 15. Hit apply. 16. Now right-click on the widecap icon in the taskbar and make sure that Enable WideCap is ticked. 17. Once you have done all of the above, start Vindictus. If you did it right, it will say "Vindictus via Widecap." Final step. Now that you have started the game, you select a server and log in like normal. WHEN YOU ARE AT THE CHARACTER CREATION AND/OR CHARACTER SELECTION SCREEN, SEE STEP 16. AND TURN OFF WIDECAP.If you turn it off when you are ingame, you will get disconnected. The reason you turn it off is because you will be able to play on your own connection without going through the proxy once you are past the IP check. There are a couple of problems and I'm not sure if they are proxy related or if it's just my firewall being too damn good. 1. The marketplace will make your game crash. 2. When you have finished all the quests in the first area, you will have to talk to the Kirstie NPC and learn about tokens. You will definitely crash during this. I worked around it by letting my american friend log in and go through the dialogue for me. If you don't know anyone then you might be shit out of luck. As a side note, you might have noticed that I have 7 proxy rules. It's just because if one proxy is down, you only have to select a different rule, hit apply and try again. Go wild!

Lag was ok on the first day , 2-3 pips for everyone. There was no lag on day 2 after the unscheduled maintenance for, apparently, anyone. Everyone I grouped with had 3-4 pips of latency then it all went to shit yesterday. There was another unscheduled maintenance just an hour ago, I'm logging in now to see if it helped.
What I'm trying to say is, the lag is a server issue. It affects everyone, it's not because you are proxying. You did remember to turn off the proxy after logging in right?

Yeah the patch helped. I've played in groups where the HOST didn't have a 5 pip connection to the server but everyone was lag free. 2-3 pips seems to be the norm now, so they did something right.
