i have been wanting to ask this for a long time.... on some SP monsters there's an minus(-) resistance on some part what i want to know is some said it heals the monster and some said it just doesn't give damage and some DID said that's the best element damage  can someone give me a clear clarification on this? |

The (-) on the hitzone for element means that it subtracts from the overall RAW the elemental weapon damage you are dealing.
For instance you deal 300 (30) water element...something has -10 water on the chart, meaning you deal not only 0% of the 30 water element on the weapon, but 10% of that 30 element (3) will be subtracted from the raw dealt by the weapon.
I don't care for fomula, but I would wager that it would be from end raw damage. If you are familiar with damage calculation you calculate raw damage and then add the element. That is most likely what would happen...only subtracted. hoho.
And the higher the number (closer to 100) that the hitzone chart displays, the higher the % damage the element inflicts on that hitzone. Not the other way around...like those who suggest it is BEST to have -% on a hitzone...whoever the balls would say that.

This is an awesome thread,though there are a load of monsters missing.I always have trouble with google translate,for example when it says "etc" for a monster part,or "time" for a monster part,i'm not sure what shit to hit on him...
