As for the controls you can use either: Basic Wiimote & Nunchuck combo -or- Classic controller.
With the classic controller you can choose either ps2 style or psp style
I've followed Tri since I heard it was being made. I know almost everything about it, I swear, lol.

Meh to be honest I am not that impressed with MH3. Yeah it looks really good graphic wise, but I am not thrilled at the look of most of the monsters. They look stupid in my opinion. And the "Shen Moran" (big ass sand whale) fight is booooorrrriiiinggg. I saw a youtube video of him and they didn't even un-sheathe their weapons. All they did was fire cannons at it D:. Plus they took out duals and gunlances which makes Ghost a sad hunter. Yeah the slash axe is cool and all, but I loves mah duals and gunlances...

Only thing I'm sad about is the loss of DS, but hey, we may get some back. It's been said we are getting more weapons to cover for the loss of the event weapons we wont get here. So, other than getting more weapons, we may also get DS back, that's the only one I can say with positive thoughts that we'd recover. GL, Bow, and HH... meh... doubt it. I know GL is gone seeing how the Wyvern Fire attack is in HBG(May be other types) and the SA has an explosive attack as well. I really don't see it coming back. At least they updated the Lances, woo!

If DS is going to "come back" why not put it in the game in the first place?

If I am correct, the western MH1 on Ps2, obtained DS before Japan. So hey, lightning can strike again. The only reason, to my opinion, that they removed the said weapons was because they couldn't think of a way to change them like everything else or give them a KO attack like every weapon now has. Hammer still has the highest percent, of course.

Yay finaly got MH3 running 100% of the time at 30FPS and no crashes on Dolphin, but my english patch is messed up, i think i used a bad image. If anyone needs em i can post exact Dolphin settings and version. short overlook: Dolphin revision 4292 (others crashed for me) Unlimited Jit Cache Multi Core (lock threads to cored) Framelimit: 30 FPS Plugins: Dolphin Direct3D9 (no AA or V Sync) <- not tested Dolphin KB/X360 (nJoy doesn't work) Because of controller plugin use Xpadder to use a Pad

I also got it past the character creation screen only downside is I got really bad framerate issues on rev4292, like 1-2 fps. I know my CPU isn't good enough for running dolphin but still I got 20-ish fps on older revs.
**Edit: hmm, nvm. Installed the latest Directx update and switched to the Direct3D9 plugin and now it runs smoother, but still between 23-29 fps.
I also have problems with the english patch btw.

if you can get in to 30FPS somehow it is at its on Wii locked FPS, if you post a screenshot of your Main and Video config window i maybe can tickle those last frames from it For the english patch, i am atm getting a pre patched release from a "friend"

SOOOO Capcom and Nintendo announced thaat: Mh3 will be released on 20th of April it will have wiispeak enabled aaaand now the best part it will be free of an online fee. Players can opt to purchase a copy of the game bundled with Nintendo's new Classic Controller Pro for $59.99, or spend $10 less on just the game itself. Considering the Classic Controller Pro will retail for $19.99 by itself, the bundle is probably the way to go.
