I've been using GS since mh1 and honestly ive been getting bored
so ive been using LS , i recently tried SA in the mh3rd demo and fell in love DS is also godly in 3rd.
from what ive seen when giving people a try at monster hunter they usually pick the long sword
because of its "aesthetic" properties. Although to be honest id rather have a Long sword user in the mix than a HBG user with rapid fire who isn't even aiming up and hitting me all over the place . I would like to give another go for Great Swords but for me its almost easy mode and the same applies to hammers if not more so. I do enjoy using the hypnoc GS for the sleep effect but someone always ends up waking up the monster with some random prick of its nail. all in all flaming someone for using a weapon class is a bit naive if I can say so.
