Not much to say I joined hoping to get a answer to a question I had. After reading I found that I don't have a valid "magic number" (according to what I read in another thread) which is strange cause I can see it has a account already on it.
Well enough of that just saying hi and maybe I'll become more active once I find a valid "magic number" because right now I'm stuck.
Edit:
Sorry I'm blind and didn't see the introduction thread below this one.

hiyo~ actually.. its only invalid if it doesn't: A) proceed to fill out information or B) shows you a username i would say keep trying.. 'cuz its not easy.. my friend wanted to make an account.. took about a week to make one.. lol think of this step as "paying for a game"... only thing is.. your paying with money.. but with your time and the good thing is that its a one-time thing.. with benefits benefits being that your able to play other games under that company .. C9~! ^^

Well I've gone though about 100 now that I've found scatter throughout the internet and so far they come back either 3 ways.
1. Full with 3 accounts 2. Invalid number 3. Not sure what this one is but it only shows 2 lines of text but almost looks like the screen that implies it's valid. What I mean is there's a orange box and a grey box. If I click the orange box it takes me to the homepage and if I click the grey box it shows me a account that's signed up to it.
Still going to look a little more though and hopefully I'll get lucky soon because if it take too long I'll probably just give it up.

if you have a list of 1000; i wouldn't check 1,2,3,4,5,etc.. i would spot check.. 1,5,10,20,etc
i would also try another source.. and not stick with same..
and if u give in the end.. thats unfortunate, cuz this game is awesome (i never played any MH series before btw) and at the same time its better for you.. since its addicting lol ><
so anyways.. gluck~

Yay I found a working one after searching through around half the "magic numbers" in a document with over 1000 of them. Registered and now I guess the last thing to do is to download the actual game and try it out.

nice lucky u indeed.. if i was you, i would store the magic number and name associate, in case u need to re-activate your account or reset password.. something that not a lot of people do. if this is the first time ur playing MH series.. i would suggest you stick atleast til Rank 11~ish.. 'cuz you from HR1-10 is all noobie quests and u gotta spam a lotta Kutku and Daimyo if u still dont like the game.. play C9.. its comign out August 10 i think .. ~ anywho, ill see u in game.. if we do meet ^^

Well now I'm having problems finding the client. It's probably on the main page but I just can't read Korean and I can't find a guide to point me to it. All other links I've found are dead I believe since I get the megaclick error when I click on them. For now I'm stuck to a torrent off of demonoid that's going at 35 kb/s so it's gonna be a while before I get started.
As for my MH experience I've played MHF,MHF2,MHF2NDG, AND MHFU. I've never actually beat any of them (all quests done) or even gotten to hr9 but I've gotten to hr7 so I do have some playing experience though the keyboard+mouse will be new to me.
I was hoping I'd be able to attach my psp to my pc and use it as a controller but I heard you can't assign attacks to multiple buttons (Triangle+Circle).
Edit: Oh and yes I made a new document and stored both my "magic number"+name and my secret answer. I'm going to make sure I don't lose it. Especially since it took me a good 3 hours of searching through a document to find it.

To get client, look on here for a direct link. I've posted it before. Otherwise, login, click in the upper left to get to the main page index. After that, you'll have a game start button with 2 gray text on it, click the right one I believe to get the new client.
You can use your PSP as a controller, but you'll have to go to minegarde to read up on that guide. You can have PERFECT PSP controls (except for camera roll option change) but you won't be able to edit the buttons, it is a preset that lets you use multiple buttons on the same controller.

^^ I already got it downloaded and installed though patching it was pain since the patcher seemed to want to close on me the first 4-5 times. Restarted the computer then tried again and it crashed then tried one more time and it went through.
Well I'm in but I don't think I'll play since it's already 10pm here and I'm tired + the only people here are on a quest atm. Tomorrow I'll have to look up one of the many guides so I'll know where everything is cause right now I'm lost and can't even find my house or anything.
Edit:
Well after playing a bit today the game is already getting kind of boring. Seems that everybody that speaks english is high level which leaves me soloing all my group missions. Are the servers listed above this really the only english populated servers?
I'll try a bit more just hoping I chose a bad time to play and that more low levels will show up so I can finally hunt in a group.

Hi Doctor Nick...Game is not noob friendly...you get busy hunting or get busy dieing... I guess so but it's kinda discouraging when the reason you got the game was to hunt with other people. It seems unless your high rank people tend to just ignore you completely.

It seems unless your high rank people tend to just ignore you completely. i think at lower levels.. people are just used to solo'ing (coming from PSP etc).. so like i said before.. keep lvling til HR10+.. once ur tavern and able to do other quest... u will find groups slowly.. not always.. but usually.. apply for a guild and ur chances of finding a group goes up.. you could always join the koreans on server 1, i do that only when i cant find a group for a long time.. only bad thing is that you cant really communicate.. tho sometimes you will find a english speaking korean too

It's ok I'll get there. It's not that I have problems with soloing (difficulty wise) it's just alot funner when you have more people. Anyways I haven't been on the past couple days due to a gameguard error that I can't seem to get past.
I suppose downloading the client all over again would be a good idea but I just haven't gotten around to that though.

Windows 7 32 bit doesn't work with gameguard however 64 bit works with a fix
